The Ponsbourne Park House was built in 1876, the home of William Carlile who leased it to the Roman Catholic Church in 1932 as a Convent School, known as St. Dominics. There are still memorials in the grounds to those of the St. Dominican Order, who died whilst living at Ponsbourne.
In 1987 Ponsbourne Estate was bought by Tesco for use as a Hotel and Management Training Centre. The main house, which now boasts our superb function facilities, offers tradition and comfort in keeping with the style, yet still offering all modern facilities expected today.
Set in landscaped gardens, Ponsbourne has retained many of the original features which have been complemented by later additions, including the bedroom wing, nine hole golf course, outdoor heated swimming pool and five all weather tennis courts.
All 51 bedrooms offer private bath/shower, colour television, direct dial telephone, hair dryer and drink making facilities, not forgetting memorable views over the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.
The Ponsbourne Park Hotel's web site has been developed to provide you with all the information about Ponsbourne Park.
Our menus, prices, functions, how to find us or contact us are all listed on this site, which I intend to continue to develop.
I hope you find everything to your liking and will visit the Ponsbourne soon, be it for business or pleasure.
As to any queries you may have, please do not hesitate to contact me, when I will do my best to help you.
Kind Regards
